I know there are the occasional "sad songs" but Irish music always makes me feel happy! And in a way, it's familiar, because so many Irish settled in my part of America.
Whenever I feel kinda down, I listen to the Planxty CD Ken sent and it puts a smile back on my face.
Now if I only had YOUR CD to add to me collection. ;)
Hmm, interesting. I like it even more because it sounds nothing like German. (have you noticed that german sounds rude and abusive even when theyre talking about flowers and love?)
So heart-felt.

Like Ponita, I can honestly say I've never heard a conversation in that tongue before. Look how old I am and I can still experience the new!

ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, the Irish are so melodic.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, there were times in that interview when the woman sounded distinctly Scottish...
