A Pox Upon Us!

I lie! Most of the house of Stew have a head-cold right now, and sniffles abound! Man, the concoction of stuff being taken by us right now, I'm just waiting for the drug squad to break down the doors! What a start to October!

I had a wedding tonight, as is usual of a Friday, and I like to think the head-cold gave my voice a sexy Barry White tinge! I like to think that! I'm sick, let me think that!

The wedding? A bit boring, but we were paid in cash, and of course I am going to declare all to the revenue, 'cos I'm good like that!

Sang a few new songs tonight, which I enjoyed. Also sang a few old songs, couldn't quite remember the exact words, so just made them up as I went along, as you do! Did anybody notice? Do I care?

Nice quiet house on returning home, time for a relax, nice glass of Australian Pinot Grigio, (Yellow Tail, it's fucking delish!) slice of homemade apple pie (Thanks Helena) and a bit of a rummage on FB!

A bit of a lie-in is expected .

Much love  :¬)

  1. I was just thinking about you all, just this very moment. I was telling Sarge how much he would like you. Too bad you don't live closer.

Then I saw your new post. I like the sound of the drink and the pie.

  5. oh, dear, a headpox at house of stew! a nasty thing at its best - but i'm sending gentle breezes from the eastern short to blow it on its way elsewhere - you know the drill, plenty of fluids, an aspirin and call me in the morning - or something like that - seems you've made a bit of a medicinal headstart however, what with the yellow tail and all! [well, except for the little ones] - as a matter of fact, i've a bottle sitting in a packed box right now, just waiting for the new campfire - the loaded moving truck sits waiting for the last thing to go on but i just can't seem to unplug all my wonderful friends!!! ;)

will be thinking of all of U on the road! later, big guy! hugs and well wishes to THE FAM!

  6. Well if you had that sexy Barry White vibe going, who CARED what words you sang? :)

Still, hope all of you feel better fast! You DO know it'll take the future Dr. Stew a while before she can dispense drugs, right? ;)

  7. I attended a wedding last night and thought about you. Seriously! The band was The Philadelphia Funk Ensemble and they were as good a their name implies. And, yes, there was Barry White on the menu.

I had better not find out that you came to visit Leah and didn't ring me up. I'll whoop yer ass.

  10. hope; Well I sounded like Barry in MY head anyway!

As for medication, I've always lived by Homer's (Simpson) edict; Alcohol, the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems! (I tend to forget the 'cause of' bit!) :¬)

UB; A wedding eh? I've never been to an American wedding, but Mrs. Map has, and she says they are quite a different affair compared to the Irish shindig! I believe you have music and dancing during the wedding meal? Irish weddings? Well there's lots of food, and speeches etc., then everybody has a wander around for an hour while the band set up, then everybody dances (hopefully) for a few hours to the wonderful band, then there's a DJ for another couple of hours! Oh yes, and drink, nearly forgot that. There's LOTS OF DRINK! Then, the next evening, everybody meets up again at a bar so they can tell each other what a great day they had! And have a few drinks!

You and Leah are on my bucket list of people to meet, so there's no fear of me coming to NYC and NOT meeting up with you two! Some day pal! :¬)

  11. I'm sure that you will declare the revenue--less expenses of course and they were substantial for medication.
Yellow Tail---hmm, New South Wales wine---ok, not bad----Pino Grigio on sale for $75.00 a doz----bet there was a surcharge to get it to your table---
    Hope the cold goes away
